The government is going to publish the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations on May 31.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to publish the result from Ganabhaban through video conference at 10:00am, said a press release issued by the education ministry on Thursday.
This year the education boards have taken initiative to send results to the examinees by SMS in mobile phones instantly, said officials.
Dhaka Education Board senior system analyst Monjurul Kabir told New Age that earlier it took time to send examinees results instantly over their mobile phones.
This year they had taken early initiative to send results instantly and for that registration process had already began this week, he added.
For registration to get results via SMS, examinees have to type SSC/DAKHIL (space) first three letters of respective boards (space) roll number (space) 2020 and send the SMS to 16222 from mobile phones.
As usual the examinees could also get the results from the education board websites.

The government is planning to publish the results of the Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations at the end of May.Education secretary Md Mahbub Hossain told New Age on Wednesday that all the 11 education boards were instructed to resume works to publish the result by this month.
‘Usually results of the public examinations are published in two months. We also proceeded to meet the deadline of April. But the process was suspended for coronavirus outbreak,’ Mahbub said.
In February, 20,47,779 students sat for the SSC, Dakhil and vocational exams.
Dhaka education board chairman Ziaul Haque said that the board had already received the results of the written tests.
‘We instructed the head examiners to send the optical mark reader results for the multiple choice questions physically in case of Dhaka or through regular postal mail for the examiners from outside Dhaka by May 10,’ he said.
‘We are planning to engage our seasonal workforces for scanning, tabulating and other tasks in two shifts to meet the target,’ Ziaul said.
He said that publishing routine for the Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations was uncertain as they did not know how long the general holiday would be extended.

Madrasah Board :
Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board or “Alia Madrasah Education Board” started its activity independently in 1979. With the passage of time of madrasah education, in 1978 a humanities and science faculty were included in Alim level and in 1980, Fazil degree was given the standard of education of HSC level. In 1985 dakhil level was given the standard of education of SSC, and in 1987 Alim level was given the standard of education of HSC.
